Brie, cold
All clear
Store-bought sushi
All clear
Glass of wine
Not drinking is safest. If you do, each standard drink takes about 2 hours to clear, counted from when you start. Expressing and throwing milk away doesn’t speed it up.
Flat white
About 100 mg of caffeine. A little passes into breast milk, and newborns clear it slowly.
Southern bluefin tuna
Higher in mercury.
Energy drink
Not recommended while breastfeeding. The caffeine and other stimulants pass into breast milk, and labels must say they aren’t recommended.

A drink, timed around feeds
How long until it’s clear for the next feed, and caffeine counted through the day.
Baby’s first foods
Introducing peanut, egg and other allergens early, no honey before 12 months, and how to cut foods so they’re safe to swallow.
